Women Entrepreneurship Program (WEP)

The Women Entrepreneurship Program is INDECOS’ sustainable flagship program. This project was established in 2005 in response to the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami disaster, which greatly impacted the lives of several Sri Lankans living along the coastline of the Southern Province. As of 2023, more than 7600 women have registered for membership under the program. Today, WEP continues to offer entrepreneurial services ranging from skill-building trainings to providing members with suitable business loans.
Children Development Scholarships Program (CDSP)

Children have become a major focal group of INDECOS since 2003. As part of the Children Development Scholarships Program, and with the help of generous donors, we have been able to provide funds and materials to many young students from low-income families. Our intention is to encourage students to engage in higher education and establish a prosperous future for themselves. Many former students have since entered university and graduated as a result of the CDSP.
Volunteer Program

Since 2004, INDECOS has maintained an ongoing partnership with the World University Service of Canada (WUSC). Through WUSC’s volunteer program, we have gone on to collaborate with dozens of national and international volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds and in a variety of positions, both short and long term. These volunteers have shared their assorted knowledge and experience to further develop the capacity of INDECOS staff and beneficiaries.
We highly appreciate the services rendered through the WUSC volunteer program during the past decades, and look forward to welcoming the perspectives and contributions of future participants from around the globe.
